Optional Armor and Hit Location Rules for Warrior Heroes Armies and Adventures

Been working on this for a bit now and thought I'd share.

This minor addition to the Warrior Heroes Armies and Adventures combat procedures breaks out armor by area of the target hit.

One side effect of this is an increase the dreaded chain rating. You see now if your chappy gets is wearing a hauberk and gets hit in the chest it really is the chain that has been hit. If he gets hit in the leg though...

In any event it adds one roll to the missile combat mechanics if a hit is scored and may add one roll to melee, mostly on those "score two more" results.

It's in the  Official THW Rules Updates Warrior Heroes Armies and Adventures folder. What a mouthful that is : )

You will have to be a member of the Two Hour Wargames Yahoo Group to see it. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Give it a whirl and feedback welcome.

  1. Thanks Bob. All your WHAA optional rules are very welcome. Why not attribute rules next ? :)

  2. You are most welcome. Most welcome indeed.

Here are a few attributes/skills that can be used with the options just presented:

Eagle Eye: When rolling for a location on the Missile combat Hit Location table, you may adjusr the score rolled up or down by one. Each additional level of this skill allows an additional addition, +/-2 , +/- 3 and so on.

Skilled Blade: works the same for melee.

Uncanny Reflexes: Works the same but you can adjust the roll when you arfe the target.

Mighty Blow: Allows you to increase the impact of your melee weapon by one. Additional levels each add 1 more.

Way of the Bow: does the same for bows/crossbows as you have mastered the characteristics of your weapn. Can probably apply this one to other missiles but not to firearms, as the physical limitations of powder and manufacture are too great.

These attributes are all untested as I just made them up now. No reason to believe they will not work though.
