Wolfe Toon

With my usual glacial pace* of painting I present to you Wolfe Toon, the Colonel of the Regiment Guinalea, and a noted super genius! A look at the link above will show that the Regiment has been ready since last June and now some eight months later Colonel Toon has arrived to take command.

Wolfe Toon is, of course. best known as one of the founding members of the Society of United Guinaleans. The organization has been a thorn in the side of Good Kyng Gorge for some years now.

Recently Toon has scarpered off to the Ferach Empire beseeching that Republican stalwart the Emperor Mordred to bring Republicanism to Guinalea at the point of a gun. The Emperor has been assured that a veritable horde of Guinaleans await the moment they can throw in with the Elven cause.

Knowing the value of a good distraction the Emperor has made Toon a Colonel in La Grande Armee  and has also consented to send a smallish expedition to raise the flag of rebellion in this, the least happy, of the Albion's United Kingdoms. Forces have been mustered and are set to land on March 17th.

The figure of Colonel Toon started life as an officer of Ferach Werewolf Artillery, Alternative Armies code 57811

I lengthened his ears and snout, and gave him a top hat and a Shillelagh, the famed Guinalean fighting stick. I quite deliberately gave him two tone fur and skin as an homage to Wile E. Coyote. Looking at it though the success of this move is debatable : )

Any way, here he is and hope you like the photos.

Thanks for stopping by!

*Refers to frequency not speed. I did the conversion yesterday and painted him today.

  1. Superb. Reminds me of those old cartoon Wolves - like the one who tried to blow down the Pigs houses.

Great and fits in with everything Flintloque.

    1. Tony,

Fantastic observation! Now that you point it out I suspect that is where the inspiration came from.

Thank you for the kind comments.
